Weaver's Mallows

The Monadnock Area Artists Association used to put on themed exhibits at the Colony Mill Marketplace in Keene, New Hampshire. One time the theme was flowers. I had no flower paintings, so I went through my grandfather's old photos and came across the one I used to create this painting. It was of the mallow's in my grandparent's front yard. Since my grandparent's last name was Weaver, that's how I chose the painting name. I really love the way the light seemed to be shining through the petals.
