The Persistent Pine
My supervisor (and friend) owns a piece of land on Island Pond in Stoddard, New Hampshire. On the shore of her land is an amazing pine tree that was knocked down at some point in its life, but still managed to recover and grow up from its rocky landing spot. It is a landmark on Island Pond. My friend asked me to paint the tree from a photo she took from the perspective of the shore, and this is the result.
