In the summer of 2013 I learned of a juried exhibit hosted by the Historical Society of Cheshire County celebrating the Ashuelot River that travels from Washington, NH to the Connecticut River. I live near the headwaters in Marlow, NH, and I took a photo of this fall scene from the bridge that crosses the river to a gravel company. It is a spot where the rapids begin just before the river moves into Gilsum, NH. It was such a beautiful fall morning, and a great scene for a painting.
