Sticks at Goose Pond
My family and I enjoy taking walks and hikes on the many beautiful trails around us, including the trail around Goose Pond in Keene, New Hampshire. To the right of the trail that leads to the pond from the parking lot there is a dam that needs to be crossed before walking the rest of the way around the pond. One summer day when my kids were in preschool and kindergarten, we were walking around the pond when they stopped to stir sticks in the water from the top of the dam. I felt a painting coming on as soon as I saw this scene and asked them to keep stirring until I could get some good photos. I love the time this painting captures in my children's lives.
