Outerbanks Waves
For many years in the spring we have been driving the 16 or so hours it takes to get from our house in southwest New Hampshire to Rodanthe, North Carolina in the mid-section of the Outer Banks, to connect with my husband's family either for camping or staying in one of the houses on stilts. I took the photo for this painting when my children were toddlers, holding on tight to their grandparents' hands as the waves crashed before them. The waves are always so big there!
