Jeremiah's Sneakers - First Day of Spring
My son loves to wear high top Converse sneakers. On this particular day we were visiting my mother on Cape Cod for her birthday and the first day of spring. Jeremiah was climbing the tree in her front yard. When I saw him up there I said "Don't move...I want to get my camera." I then took the photo I used for reference for this painting. I wanted to name it "First Day of Spring" but he wanted to name it "Jeremiah's Sneakers", so we combined the name. Amazingly those sneakers made it through the summer held together by duct tape!
