Island Pond Camp
My coworker's family owns a camp on Island Pond in Stoddard, New Hampshire. My supervisor happens to own land on the same pond. One summer work day we decided to gather at the camp with picnic food and kayaks for a work "meeting". We had a wonderful time paddling and exploring the pond, followed by lunch on the deck, which was when I took the photo that inspired this painting. I so appreciated the renewing feeling this day provided that I had to paint it!
