Grafton Monarch
When my kids were in elementary school in Marlow, New Hampshire, they both went on field trips to The Nature Museum at Grafton in Vermont. We also went back as a family while camping in Vermont one August weekend in 2007. That was when I took the photo I used to create this painting. I just lost myself in iPhoto for a bit trying to find the photo I used, remembering the kids as they were eight years ago. I love that our trips create so many memories and inspirations to paint.
