First Weeds

One spring day during black fly season I was pulling the very first tiny weeds from the garden outside our dining room picture window. Unknown to me my mother's husband took a picture from the dining room table of me weeding outside. I took some artistic liberty and at least did not paint the bug net I had over my hat in reality. Black flies are such a nuisance in New Hampshire in the spring, always a bit disappointing when you want to get out in the yard after a long winter!
