December furries, beautiful places, and meaningful stories

December was a very busy painting month for me. I am grateful to a friend, a coworker, and a new word-of-mouth customer who asked me to paint Christmas gifts for them to give to family and friends. As with each commission I paint, these three paintings have meaningful stories behind them. Over the years, I have heard many emotional and beautiful stories from the people who ask me to paint. It adds so much more meaning to my work.

Post Holiday Ponderings

With the holidays behind us, I find myself enjoying a bit of free time and a chance to slow down. Without having to prepare for craft fairs, meet deadlines, shop, or wrap presents, I have had time to finally do my Christmas cards, read, and even create a Twitter account for my art. I really enjoy this time to recover and regroup, but I know that soon I will get that urge to be creative again.
